What had always been a given has completely changed, casting a shadow over our hearts, and at the same time, allowing us to realize the depth of our human connections.
All of the people who send us their thoughts over different kinds of social media,
who want to show gratitude, or who want to send encouragement and connect with us fill our hearts and let us feel like we’re not alone.

We, the Nara International Film Festival, would like to connect our thoughts with you as well.
To all of you who are irreplaceable to us, and to everyone who loves film,

We named this project “TREHUNJECT”, a combination of TREasure HUNting proJECT.

We want to meet… something precious, we want to deliver excitement!
This is a “treasure hunt” we have put a lot of thought into.

Many guests from around the world who have been involved with the Nara International Film Festival bring you their treasures, along with the power of film and overlapping thoughts.

We hope you enjoy them.

●What is 3.11 A Sense of Home Films?
https://vimeo.com/425929705

After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the Nara International Film Festival contacted many directors from around the world, such as Victor Erice (The Spirit of the Beehive) and Bong Joon-ho (Parasite), etc., and gathered works from a variety of famous artists. With each one being 3 minutes, 11 seconds long, we have connected all 21 of these contributions into one unified film.

Though it was created nine years ago, by releasing 3.11 A Sense of Home Films on our homepage again today, all of us who are enchanted by our love of film can overcome this test that COVID-19 has brought us, and all of our worlds can connect once more.
