Indore is a medium-sized Indian city (2 million inhabitants) in the Indian state of Madhyar Pradesh. Endearing city, like all cities in India.
We visited this city during the trip to Ujjain to attend the Kumbh Mela in 2016. From a tourist point of view I doubt that I can choose this locality for my holidays even if it has undeniable architectural treasures like the Lal Bagh Palace , the Rajwada palace or the small temple temple Jain Shri Neminath Digambar Mandir.
This city is the capital of the state Madhya Pradesh, it has an airport which greatly facilitates travel from Mumbai to Ujjain.

about the place, Indore:
Indore is the largest city in Mahya Pradesh with more than 2 million inhabitants. Indore is 190 kilometers from the infamous Bhopal.
Indore was created in the 16th century and was an important trading center between the Plateau Deccan Plateau (largely covering the states of Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh) and Delhi.
The city is named after the Indreshwar Mahadev Temple seduced to the god Indra.
